Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. She was the sole daughter to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she was sixteen. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature models. Alexandra was associated with numerous notable projects, both nationally and internationally. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she has been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in The Cannes Film Festival.
